The 2025 Finance Law introduced an exceptional contribution on the profits of large enterprises with turnover exceeding €1 billion. The economic literature suggests that the introduction of such a contribution could affect their investment behaviour. The responses to business tendency surveys can be used to conduct an event-study analysis that compares changes over time in average response differences between enterprises subject to the scheme and those not subject to it.
