The national accounts in 2023 National accounts - 2020 Base
Beyond GDP National accounts - 2020 Base
The “augmented national accounts” program aims to facilitate the joint analysis of economic, social and environmental issues, by articulating national accounting information, which is the benchmark for measuring economic performance, with other key issues. Two of these issues, at the heart of public debate, have been given priority in the first instance: greenhouse gas emissions and income inequalities.
These first augmented accounts thus include greenhouse gases emissions accounts, following the “production” (emissions from resident units) and “consumption” (carbon footprint) approaches, and accounts by household category showing the distribution of income, consumption and savings. These allow us to draw up a summary of redistribution including all transfers and public services, and to measure the distribution of consumption and savings according to income, age or socio-professional category, for example.
