Data collection is carried out online and is launched in September 2026.
The survey covers the whole of France (geographical scope as of the time of data collection).
It is mainly conducted through INSEE’s online portal, and, upon request by the business, by email or postal mail.
The surveyed unit is the establishment.

September to December 2026

Local unit (of an enterprise)

The sample is stratified by industry sector, size class, and region of location. The sample consists of approximately 25,000 establishments.
The exhaustive part includes establishments with 250 employees or more, representing around 3,700 establishments.
Cold storage and warehousing establishments (52.10G, approximately 700 units) will also be fully surveyed, as well as data centres (list provided by SDES).

• Checks during the collection phase
• Follow-ups during the collection phase: exhaustive reminders by mail on non-respondents, targeted telephone or email on non-respondents
• Data cleaning to ensure consistency of answers within each questionnaire
• Winsorisation: control of the influence of atypical units
• Calculation of precision indicators
