Projects funded by Eurostat within the framework of the European Statistical System
The European Commission provides funding for projects implemented (and partly funded) by the NSIs within the framework of the European Statistical System.
ESSnets and Centers of Excellence
INSEE participates in collaborative networks within the European Statistical System (ESS), called Ouvrir dans un nouvel ongletESSnets, and in Ouvrir dans un nouvel ongletCenters of Excellence funded by Eurostat. The work carried out within the framework of ESSnets and Centers of Excellence aims to develop tools for the production of statistics, to formulate guidelines or define standards, and to disseminate the results to all stakeholders of the ESS.

Other bilateral and multilateral projects
INSEE participates in bilateral and multilateral projects funded by Eurostat, which aim to support national statistical institutes for the implementation of the European Statistical Program 2021-2027.

INSEE also participates in recurring projects funded by Eurostat (employment survey modules, purchasing power parity, etc.) and by DG Ecfin (for business surveys, which are outside the framework of the European Statistical System). These projects, which are a special category of bilateral projects, are renewed annually or at regular intervals.
