User access
The All employees database is available in different formats, depending on the audience.
"Postes" and "Salariés" files are accessible to INSEE staff on authorization only (for studies that cannot be dealt with standard products).
The other goverment statistical services may access the All employees database under the conditions laid down in Article 7 bis of the amended Act of 7 June 1951. They need to request first a permanent authorization from the Statistical Confidentiality Committee.
Researchers need to contract with the CASD (Centre for Secure Access to Data), a new portal introduced in 2010 to access public microdata. Enabled by the recent evolution of the 1951 law about statistical confidentiality, it allows access to classified data through a highly regulated procedure.
Researchers may also access the FPR (research and production files) through a simplified procedure. These are "Postes" and "Salariés" national files with a sample size of 1/12th, presenting salaries and employment areas of workplace and residence.
