InserJeunes and InserSup: two information systems for a precise measurement of the professional integration at the end of initial education and training

InserJeunes and InserSup are two recent information systems for documenting the continuation of studies and professional integration following vocational education in upper secondary schools and training in apprentice training centers with InserJeunes, on the one hand, and of training in higher education institutions with InserSup, on the other. Designed on the basis of administrative data, they partly replace pre-existing surveys and provide comprehensive information at a very detailed level, in particular the employment rates by school and training center every 6 months and up to 24 months after leaving initial education and training for InserJeunes, and up to 30 months after for InserSup.
These rates are not directly comparable to those calculated from the pre-existing surveys, due to the nature of the data collected (administrative rather than declarative), the limited scope (salaried employment in France only), and the observation date. However, the information systems have been evolving since their implementation, so that they cover an increasingly broader scope.
