Data from URSSAF, MSA and SIASP on employment and the total wage bill, used by INSEE
The Epure system is used mainly to track employment trends within the year and to better understand the establishments which employ workers.
Epure has several uses.
It produces total period indicators (quarterly trend indices) on employment and the wage bill at national and local levels (region, department, employment zone).
As an information source, Epure is also an important element in local knowledge of the productive system (Clap), localised employment estimates (Estel) and national employment estimates.
This system was put in place for the first time in 1996.
