Before 2008, Insee produced punctually statistics about employees by private individuals.

Between 2008 and 2022, a dedicated application ingested data from existing schemes (Cesu, Pajemploi, and DNS) supplied by "Cnav" and generated the statistics and files required to populate the quarterly employment estimates (ETE), the "All Employees" database (BTS), and the "anonymized periods file" (PEA).

Since 2023, all data have been processed via a self-service pipeline using hybrid data from "Urssaf Caisse Nationale" and "Cnav", with no changes to the associated products (ETE, BTS, and PEA).
