Facilities are allocated to one of three ranges:
- Local range: infant school, pharmacy, baker's, post office, etc.
- Intermediate range: middle school, speech therapist, supermarket, police, gendarmerie, etc.
- Extended range: high school, hospital, maternity ward, hypermarket, job center, etc.

The permanent database of facilities includes a wide range of facilities and services provided for the population.

The areas currently covered are services, market or non-market, commerce, health and social action, education, sport and leisure, tourism, transport and culture.
