REE
The REE (Register of enterprises and establishments) is the information system for the dissemination and study of demographic data for enterprises and establishments.
Data from the REE are used to build the following annual data files:

The stocks databases which register both active legal units, and active establishments in metropolitan France and overseas departments as at 31 December of the year concerned. Data for year N are available in year N+1.

The annual databases for enterprise creations and establishment creations. Data for year N are available in year N+1.
The first version of the REE was created using data from 2002.
