The collection run from September 18, 2025 to January 31, 2026. It is conducted via the internet and, optionally, by mail (at the request of the association).

September 2024 -- January 2025

The sample is drawn from a sampling frame constructed from the Siren, RNA and Alsace-Moselle register according to a systematic random sampling design stratified according to the field of activity, the number of employees (for employers) and the age of the association and the exhaustiveness criterion. The systematic draw concerns the region and the size of the municipality in which the association's head office is located. The number of units to be drawn for each stratum of the non-exhaustive part is based on a Bethel allocation with local precision constraints, which jointly minimises the variance of three totals:

• the total resources of the associations;

• the total number of volunteers;

• the number of hours spent by volunteers.

42 000 units (14 018 employer associations and 27 982 non-employer associations).
