The quarterly and annual results of the LFS are intended for many users, including Eurostat, the ministerial statistical offices (INSEE and the MSOs) and the general public (inseenauts, institutions, media).

Different types of products are produced by the LFS:

• a quarterly publication "InfosRap" and its associated long series

• two annual publications "Insee première" and "Insee résultats";

• microdata files: LFS file for Eurostat, PRF files, CASD file, detail file.

• metadata: annual quality reports made available on insee.fr.

The purpose of these statistics is to :

• to know the evolution of employment and unemployment in the ILO sense in a homogeneous way over time;

• provide detailed information on the structure of the active population, employment and unemployment, by gender, age, level of education, qualification, major sector of activity;

• measure the complexity of the labour market.

A user committee meets once or twice a year to ensure that user needs are taken into account.
