In the second quarter of 2026, producer prices of services rose over a quarter (+1.9% after +0.1% in the first quarter of 2026). Prices of services sold to home businesses accelerated (+1.3% after +0.2% in the first quarter). Prices of services sold to households rose (+2.4% after a stability in the first quarter), just like those of services sold on foreign markets (+3.5% after +0.1%).
Over a year, overall producer prices of services – sold on all markets – accelerated slightly in the second quarter of 2026 (+2.1% after +0.8% in the first quarter and +0.7% in the fourth quarter of 2025).

In the second quarter of 2026, producer prices of services rose over a quarter (+1.9% after +0.1% in the first quarter of 2026). Prices of services sold to home businesses accelerated (+1.3% after +0.2% in the first quarter). Prices of services sold to households rose (+2.4% after a stability in the first quarter), as did those of services sold on foreign markets (+3.5% after +0.1%).

Acceleration in prices of transportation and storage services
In the second quarter of 2026, prices of transportation and storage services accelerated (+3.0% after +1.1%) notably driven by the acceleration in prices of freight transport services by road (+4.1% after +1.5%). Over a year, prices for transportation and storage services accelerated as well (+4.0% after +1.4% in the first quarter).
Rise in prices of professional, scientific and technical services and of administrative and support services
In the second quarter of 2026, prices of professional, scientific and technical services accelerated slightly over a quarter (+0.9% after +0.5% in the first quarter), as a result of the acceleration in prices of engineering services and related technical consulting services (+1.8% after +1.3%). Over a year, prices of professional, scientific and technical services also accelerated (+1.9% after +1.2%).
In the second quarter of 2026, prices of administrative and support services continued to rise (+0.6% after +0.8%), driven by the acceleration in prices of tour operator services (+6.3% after +4.2%) which more than offset the downturn in prices of services of rental and leasing services of cars and light motor vehicles (-1.2% after +2.2%). Over a year, prices of administrative and support services continued to rise (+1.4% after +1.2%).
Rebound in prices of accommodation and food services and of information and communication services
In the second quarter of 2026, prices of accommodation and food services rebounded over a quarter (+4.7% after -1.2% in the first quarter and +0.5% in the fourth quarter of 2025) due to seasonal rise in prices of hotel and similar accommodation services (+13.8% after -5.3%). Over a year, prices of accommodation and food services continued to rise (+3.1% after +2.9%).
In the second quarter of 2026, prices of information and communication services rebounded over a quarter (+1.3% after -1.2%). Over a year, they accelerated (+0.9% after +0.3% on the first quarter).
Slight fall in prices of real estate activities
In the second quarter of 2026, prices of real estate activities fell back slightly (-0.2% after +0.1%), due to fall in prices of services of real estate activities (-3.5% after -0.2%). Over a year, prices of real estate activities fell back (-0.3% after +0.4%).

Services sold to households in France: +2.4%
In the second quarter of 2026, producer prices of services sold to households in France rose (+2.4% after stability in the first quarter). They were mainly driven upwards by prices of transportation and storage services (+5.7% after -1.2%) and by prices of accommodation and food services (+2.4% after +0.3%).
Prices of information and communication services also rose (+4.4% after -0.3%), as did prices of administrative and support services (+2.9% after -1.1%) and prices of real estate services (+0.3% after +0.5%).
Finally, prices of professional, scientific and technical services were virtually stable (-0.1% after -0.2%).
Over a year, producer prices of services sold to households in France accelerated in the second quarter of 2026 (+2.6% after +1.7%).

Services sold on foreign markets: +3.5%
In the second quarter of 2026, the producer prices of exported services rose (+3.5% after +0.1%), mainly due to the rise in prices of transportation and storage services (+8.6% after +0.8%) driven by prices of sea and coastal freight water transport services (+16.6% after +0.2%). Prices of administrative and support services slowed down (+1.1% after +2.4%)
Prices of information and communication services rebounded (+0.8% after -1.7%) as did those of professional, scientific and technical services (+0.8% after -0.6%).
Over a year, producer prices for exported services rebounded in the second quarter of 2026 (+2.8% after -1.7%) following four consecutive quarters of decline.
