In June 2026, producer prices in the French industry continued to increase (+0.2% after +0.2% in May and -2.0% in April). The decline in producer prices intensified for products sold on the French market (-0.6% after -0.2% in May), while those intended for the foreign markets accelerated (+2.5% after +1.3% in May). Over a year, producer prices in the French industry continued to increase significantly (+3.4% in June after +3.3% in May).

Excluding energy in the broad sense (hydrocarbons, refined petroleum products, electricity, etc.), producer prices in the French industry slowed over a month (+0.2% after +0.5% in May) and continued to increase over a year (+2.3% after +2.1% in May).

Producer prices in the French industry: +0.2% over a month and +3.4% over a year

In June 2026, producer prices in the French industry continued to increase (+0.2% after +0.2% in May and -2.0% in April). The decline in producer prices intensified for products sold on the French market (-0.6% after -0.2% in May), while those intended for the foreign markets accelerated (+2.5% after +1.3% in May). Over a year, producer prices in the French industry continued to increase significantly (+3.4% in June after +3.3% in May).

HOME MARKET: -0.6% over a month and +2.6% over a year

In June 2026, over a month, the decline in producer prices in the French industry for the home market intensified (-0.6% after -0.2% in May). Prices of mining and quarrying products, energy and water decreased (-0.7% after -1.0% in May), as did those of manufactured products (-0.6% after +0.1% in May). Over a year, producer prices in the French industry for the home market slowed (+2.6% after +3.1% in May).

Rise in prices of mining and quarrying products, energy and water over a year

In June 2026, over a year, prices of mining and quarrying products, energy and water increased by 0.8% (after +0.1% in May): the decline in electricity prices (-1.6% over a year in June) was offset by the increase in gas prices over the same period (+6.4%).

Slowdown in prices of refined petroleum products over a year

The decline in prices of refined petroleum products intensified over a month (-12.0% after -7.3% in May): due to the conflict in the Middle East that began at the end of February 2026, world oil prices surged in March, then slowed sharply in April, and fell in May and June. Over a year, prices of refined petroleum products continued to rise sharply but slowed (+37.9% after +65.4% in May).

Rise in prices of “other industrial products” and in those of electronic equipment and machinery over a year

Over a month, prices of “other industrial products” slowed (+0.2% after +0.9%). In line with the very large fluctuations in oil prices over recent months, prices of some chemical products fell while others increased: for example, the decline in prices of basic chemicals (-0.9% after +3.4%) was offset by the increase in those of other chemical products (+1.3% after +3.6%). Over a year, prices of “other industrial products” continued to increase significantly (+3.8% after +3.7%).

Prices of electronic equipment and machinery continued to increase over a month (+0.2% after +0.3% in May) and over a year (+1.3% after +1.0%).

Slight fall in food and beverages prices over a year

Prices of food and beverages were almost stable over a month (+0.1% after +0.2% in May). The decline in prices of processed and preserved meat (-0.7% after -0.4%), linked to export difficulties and higher imports, was offset by the increase in prices of prepared feeds for farm animals (+0.9% after +1.3%). Over a year, food and beverages prices continued to decrease (-0.5% after -0.4% in May).

Rise in transport equipment prices over a year

Prices of transport equipment were stable over a month (as in May) and continued to increase over a year (+1.0%, as in May).

FOREIGN MARKETS: +2.5% over a month and +5.4% over a year

In June 2026, over a month, prices of French industrial products intended for foreign markets accelerated (+2.5% after +1.3% in May). Over a year, while they were already increasing strongly, they accelerated (+5.4% after +3.6% in May).

Over a month, export prices of manufactured products were almost stable (-0.1% after +0.3% in May), while those of mining and quarrying products, energy and water accelerated markedly: wholesale electricity prices continued to rise, driven by high demand for air conditioning during a severe heatwave, while wind and nuclear power generation declined.

Prices of “other industrial products” slowed over a month (+0.3% after +1.1% in May): the downturn in prices of plastics in primary forms (-4.1% after +4.0%) was offset by the acceleration in those of other chemical products (+5.8% after +1.6%).

Prices of electronic equipment and machinery increased over a month (+0.3% after +0.1% in May).

Food and beverages prices also increased over a month (+0.3% after -0.1% in May): as on the home market, the decline in prices of processed and preserved meat (-2.2% after -1.9%) was offset by the sharp increase in prices of prepared feeds for farm animals (+7.4% after +1.1%).

Prices of transport equipment were almost stable in June (+0.1%, as in May).

The decline in prices of refined petroleum products intensified over a month (-10.3% after -3.6% in May).

Import prices of industrial products: -1.9% over a month and +5.4% over a year

In June 2026, over a month, the decline in import prices of industrial products intensified (-1.9% after -0.3% in May). Over a year, they slowed while remaining strongly dynamic (+5.4% after +8.0% in May).

Over a month, prices of manufactured products fell back (-1.2% after +0.3%), while those of mining and quarrying products, energy and water decreased, driven by crude oil prices.

The decline in prices of refined petroleum products intensified markedly in June (-13.8% after -1.3%).

Prices of “other industrial products” fell back over a month (-0.3% after +0.8% in May).

Food and beverages prices decreased slightly in June (-0.2% after being stable in May): the rebound in processed and preserved poultry meat prices (+3.2% after -0.3%) was offset by the downturn in prices of processed and preserved meat (-1.2% after +1.2%).

Prices of transport equipment were almost stable in June (+0.1% after being stable in May).

Finally, prices of electronic equipment and machinery increased slightly over a month (+0.2%, as in May).
