In November 2025, producer prices in the French industry continued to rise (+0.9% after +0.3% in October and -0.3% in September). Producer prices went up for products sold on the home market (+1.1% after a stability in October) and continued to rise for those intended for foreign markets (+0.6% after +0.9% in October). Over a year, French industrial producer prices continued to decline (-3.2% after -1.2% in October).
Excluding energy in the broad sense (hydrocarbons, refined petroleum products, electricity, etc.), producer prices in the French industry were virtually stable over a month (+0.1% after a stability in October) and increased over a year (+0.4% after +0.5% in October).

Producer prices in the French industry: +0.9%
In November 2025, producer prices in the French industry continued to rise (+0.9% after +0.3% in October and -0.3% in September). Producer prices went up for products sold on the home market (+1.1% after a stability in October) and continued to rise for those intended for foreign markets (+0.6% after +0.9% in October). Over a year, French industrial producer prices continued to decline (-3.2% after -1.2% in October).

HOME MARKET: +1.1%
In November 2025, producer prices in the French industry for the home market increased by 1.1% (after a stability in October). Prices for mining and quarrying products, energy, and water rose sharply (+3.7% after -0.5% in October), and those for manufactured products rebounded (+0.3% after -0,1% in October). Over a year, the decline in producer prices in the French industry for the home market intensified strongly (-3.3% after -0.8% in October).
Sharp increase in prices of mining and quarrying products, energy and water and in those for refined petroleum products
In November 2025, the rise in prices for mining and quarrying products, energy, and water intensified (+3.7% after +0.5% in October), due to the switch to winter rates of transmission services of electricity. Over a year, prices of mining and quarrying products, energy, and water decreased for the twenty-forth consecutive month (-14.8% after -6.9%).
Prices for refined petroleum products rebounded sharply over a month (+6.3% after -2.8% in October and +2.7% in September), following road diesel prices. Over a year, the decline in prices of refined petroleum products eased (-5.3% after -9.5% in October).
Moderate rise in prices of electronic equipment and machinery
Prices of electronic equipment and machinery rose by 0.2% over a month (after a stability in October), driven by a slight rebound in prices of electronic components (+0.9% after -0.7%). Over a year, those prices continued to decrease (-0.4% as in October).

Stability in prices of food and beverages and virtual stability in those of transport equipment and in those of “other industrial products”
In November 2025, prices for food and beverages were stable over a month (after +0.2% in October). A strong pull-back in prices of oils and fats (-4.4% after +0.4%), linked to lower prices in crude sunflower and rapeseed oils, was offset by a further increase in those of other food products (+1.8% after +1.5%), due to higher egg prices. Over a year, prices for food and beverages continued to rise (+2.6% after +2.5%).
Prices of “other industrial products” were virtually stable over a month (+0.1% as in October). The downturn in prices of other organic basic chemicals (-2.3% after +0.2%) was offset by a further increase in those of other chemical products (+2.8% after +0.3%). Over a year, prices of “other industrial products” continued to rise (+0.8% after +0.7% in October).
Finally, prices of transport equipment were virtually stable as well over a month (+0.1% after +0.2% in October) and continued to rise over a year (+0.7% after +0.8% in October).

FOREIGN MARKETS: +0.6%
In November 2025, the rise in prices of industrial producer prices for foreign markets eased over a month (+0.6% after +0.9%). Prices for manufactured products rose by 0.3% (after a stability in October), and those for mining and quarrying products, energy and water continued to rise, due to the higher spot electricity prices on wholesale markets.
Prices for refined petroleum products rebounded over a month (+3.6% after -2.0% in October and +1.7% in September).
Prices of electronic equipment and machinery accelerated (+0.5% after +0.2% in October), driven by the rise in agricultural and forestry machinery prices (+2.5% after -0.1%).
Transport equipment prices continued to rise (+0.3% as in October).
Prices for “other industrial products” were virtually stable (+0.1% as in October): the fall in prices for plastics in primary forms (-2.1% after -1.2%) was offset by a rebound in aluminium prices (+2.7% after -1.5%).
Prices for food and beverages continued to fall (-0.3% after -0.2% in October), driven by a further decline in dairy and cheese products prices (-1.1% after -0.2%).
Over a year, the fall in industrial producer prices for foreign markets accelerated (-2.5% after -2.0% in October).

Import prices of industrial products: +0.3%
In November 2025, import prices for industrial products rebounded (+0.3% after -0.3%). Prices for manufactured products rose by 0.3% (after -0.1% in October), while those of mining and quarrying products, energy and water rebounded slightly.
Prices for refined petroleum products rebounded over a month (+5.0% after -2.4% in October), and those for electronic equipment and machinery increased by 0.3% (after remaining stable in October).
Prices of “other industrial products” were stable (after +0.5%): the downturn in prices for other organic basic chemicals (-3.6% after +6.1%) was offset by the rise in prices for precious metals (+5.7% after +11.4%) in the wake of higher gold and silver prices.
Transport equipment prices were also stable over a month (after -0.2% in October).
The fall in food and beverages prices eased over a month (-0.3% after -1.1%), driven by a smaller decline in those of dairy and cheese products (-2.5% after -3.5%).
Over a year, the decline in import prices for industrial products intensified (-3.1% after -2.1% in October).
