Import prices of industrial products: -0.2%
In July 2025, the import prices for industrial products fell back (-0.2% after +0,5%). Prices for manufactured products were stable (after +0.1% in June), while those of mining and quarrying products, energy and water fell back, linked to lower prices for natural gas, liquefied or in gaseous state.
The decline in prices of “other industrial products” continued (-0.4% after -0.5%), driven by a further drop in essential oils prices (-9.8% after -1.0%).
The increase in prices for refined petroleum products slowed sharply over a month (+2.1% after +7.9% in June), while those for transport equipment rebounded slightly (+0.2% after -0.1%).
Food and beverages prices were stable over a month (after +0.4% in June). The strong rise in processed tea and coffee prices (+9.3% after +1.0%) following world coffee prices, was offset by a fall in prices for cocoa, chocolate and sugar confectionery (-4.0% after +2.0% in June), driven by lower cocoa butter prices due to easing tensions in cocoa markets.
Prices for electronic equipment and machinery were also stable over a month (after -0.5% in June).
Over a year, the decline in import prices for industrial products intensified in July 2025 (-1.9% after -1.3% in June).
