Producer prices in the French industry: +0.1%
In June 2025, producer prices in the French industry were virtually stable after three consecutive months of decline (+0.1% after -0.9% in May, -3.9% in April and -1,1% in March). The decline in producer prices slowed for products sold on the home market (-0.2% after -0.9%). Prices of products intended for foreign markets rebounded (+0.7% after -0.5% in May). Over a year, French industrial producer prices continued to decrease (-0.5% after -0.8% in May).
Excluding energy, producer prices in the French industry were stable over a month (after -0.1% in May) and increased over a year (+0.9% as in May).
HOME MARKET: -0.2%
In June 2025, producer prices in the French industry for the home market decreased slightly over a month (-0.2% after -0.9% in May): the drop in prices for mining and quarrying products, energy, and water eased (-1.8% after -3.9% in May), while those for manufactured products rose (+0.3% after a stability in May). Over a year, producer prices in the French industry for the home market rose slightly (+0.2% after a stability in May).
Decrease in prices for mining and quarrying products, energy and water, and, to a lesser extent, in those for electronic equipment and machinery
In June 2025, the fall in prices for mining and quarrying products, energy, and water moderated (-1.8% after -3.9% in May), mainly due to a less pronounced drop in electricity prices (-4.8% after -7.8%): the decline in prices charged to businesses was offset by the rise in wholesale market prices linked to the heatwave (which increased demand for air conditioning while reducing nuclear and hydroelectric power production). Over a year, prices for mining and quarrying products, energy, and water fell for the nineteenth consecutive month (-3.5% after -2.9%), mainly due to those of electricity.
Electronic equipment and machinery prices declined slightly over a month (-0.2% after -0.1% in May), driven by lower prices of electronic components (-1.7% after -0.8% in May). Over a year, they rose by 0.4% (after +0.5% in May).

Strong increase in prices of refined petroleum products, and slight rise in those of food and beverages and of “other industrial products”
Prices for refined petroleum products rose significantly over a month (+5.8% after -0.9 % in May), driven by a strong rebound in world oil prices, slightly mitigated by the euro's appreciation against the dollar over the same period. However, over a year, prices of refined petroleum products continued to fall sharply (-15.8% after -20.6% in May).
Food and beverages prices continued to rise in June (+0.3% after +0.2% in May), driven by higher prices for dairy and cheese products (+1.1% after +0.2%) linked to raw material costs. Over a year, food and beverages prices continued to rise (+3.5% after +3.1% in May).
Prices for “other industrial products” rebounded over a month (+0.2% in June after -0.2% in May). They were driven by higher prices for pharmaceutical preparations (+1.1% after -1.0%). Over a year, prices for “other industrial products” increased by 1.0% (after +0.8% in May).
Virtual stability for prices of transport equipment
Prices of transport equipment were virtually stable over a month (+0.1% after -0,1% in May). Over a year, they accelerated (+0.6% after +0.3%).

In June 2025, the import prices for industrial products rebounded (+0.5% after -0,6%). Prices for manufactured products were virtually stable (+0.1% after -0.3% in May), while those of mining and quarrying products, energy and water picked up strongly (mainly due to higher crude oil prices).
Prices for refined petroleum products rebounded sharply over a month (+7.9% after -2.5% in May).
The increase in food and beverages prices slowed over a month (+0.3% after +0.5% in May): this rise was supported both by an increase in prices for processed and preserved meat (+2.4% after +1.5%) in a context of strong demand, as well as by the continued rise in those of cocoa, chocolate and sugar confectionery (+2.0% after +2.1% in May), linked to higher prices of butter, spreads and cocoa in a context of a weak agricultural supply.
Prices for electronic equipment and machinery fell by 0.5% over a month (after a stability in May), due to the decline in those for other general-purpose machinery (-2.0% after +3.2% in May). Prices for “other industrial products” declined again (-0.5% after -0.4%), driven by lower prices for other organic basic chemicals (-1.8% after -3.0%).
Finally, prices for transport equipment were virtually stable in June (-0.1% after +0.1% in May).
Over a year, import prices for industrial products continued to fall in June 2025 (-1.3% after -1.2% in May).
