Abstract
The work of climate economists, on the social cost of carbon in particular, is expanding and recent academic research is being taken on board and used by government bodies. In France, for example, the Quinet Commission on the value of carbon, the Criqui Commission on the sectoral costs of cutting emissions and the Pisani-Ferry and Mahfouz Commission on the assessment of the cost of the transition were set up for use in public policy. However, interest in the challenge of the century seems to stop at economics, the recommendations from which are ultimately rarely applied. While contributing to academic research, the articles contained in this issue also contribute to ensuring that climate costs are taken into account in public policies and propose solutions to help the energy transition is achieved in the best way possible.
