Services sold to households in France: +0.6%
In the third quarter of 2023, producer prices of services sold to households in France decelerated over a quarter (+0.6% after +1.7%), mainly due to the slowdown of prices for transportation and storage services (+3.0% after +5.5%) and of those for accommodation and food services (+1.4% after +2.0%), as well as the downturn for information and communication services (-2.9% after +0.2%). In particular, prices for wireless telecoms services fell sharply (-8.5% after -1.1% in the previous quarter), following the overhaul of the incumbent operators' low-cost offers, new packages providing lower data volumes for less money, more in line with the volumes actually consumed.
Year on year, producer prices of services sold to households in France decelerated in the third quarter of 2023 (+1.9% after +4.0%) and were 6.7% above their level in the third quarter of 2021.
