Further rise in accommodation and food service activities
In September, the sales volume grew again in accommodation and food service activities (+0.5% on average over the last four months), due to a recovery in accommodation (+1.5% after −1.7% in August). The sales volume flattened out in food and beverage service activities (+0.1% after +1.5% in August). The rise in sales volume in restaurants and fast food activities (+1.6%) was offset by the decrease in event catering and other food services (−2.2%) and in beverage serving activities (−0.6%)
The sales volume of the whole sector improved markedly over the third quarter (+1.3% q-o-q) and year-on-year (+3.3% y-o-y).

The sales volume recovered slightly in arts, entertainment and recreation (+0.3% after −5.6%), more significantly in gambling and betting activities (+3.3% after −3.3%).
