In January 2013, the turnover fell in business support activities (–1.1%) and in the wholesale trade, except for motor vehicles and motorcycles (–0.4%). On the contrary, it took off slightly in transportation and storage (+0.5%) and in real estate activities (+0.3%). It was steady in information and communication (0.0%).
Warning : from January 2013, the index of the wholesale trade and business services is based 2010 and referenced to 2010.
Every index in this issue is in value, seasonally and working-day adjusted (SA-WDA).
In January 2013, the turnover fell in business support activities (–1.1%) and in the wholesale trade, except for motor vehicles and motorcycles (–0.4%). On the contrary, it took off slightly in transportation and storage (+0.5%) and in real estate activities (+0.3%). It was steady in information and communication (0.0%).
Over the quarter (q-o-q), the turnover rose in real estate activities (+1.1%), in business support activities (+0.6%), in transportation and storage (+0.6%) and in information and communication (+0.4%). It was stable in the wholesale trade, except for motor vehicles and motorcycles (0.0%).
Year-on-year (y-o-y), the turnover went up in the wholesale trade, except for motor vehicles and motorcycles (+2.4%), in transportation and storage (+1.0%), in information and communication (+0.9%) and in business support activities (+0.6%). Conversely, it declined in real estate activities (–1.6%).

Revisions : rebasing, base 2005 to base 2010
The noticed revisions are mainly explained by rebasing. The evolution in December has been revised by +0.5 point in business support activities. The variation, announced at +1.3% last month, has been corrected at +1.8%. In the same period, the evolution has been revised by –0.4 point in the wholesale trade, except for motor vehicles and motorcycles.
