Slight decrease in employment in Q1 2014 (flash estimate) Flash estimate of payroll employment - 1st quarter 2014

In Q1 2014, payroll employment in principally market sectors drifted q-o-q (-23,600 jobs), after an increase in the previous quarter (+15,100). Industry and construction dropped this quarter, whereas services slumped. Excluding temporary work, employment remained stable in Q1 2014 (+1,200 jobs).

Strong decrease in temporary employment

Temporary employment drifted sharply this quarter (-24,900 jobs), remaining at the level of early 2013.
