In July 2011, the manufacturing output increased in volume (+1.4%). It had strongly decreased in June 2011 (-1.8%).

In July 2011, the manufacturing output increased in volume (+1.4%). It had strongly decreased in June 2011 (-1.8%).

In the industry as a whole, output increased as well (+1.5%).

In the last quarter, the manufacturing output increased (+0.4%)…

In the last quarter (quarter-on-quarter change), the output increased in the manufacturing sector (+0.4%) and in the industry as a whole (+0.9%).

The output increased in the electrical, electronic equipment and machine equipment (+1.1%), in the manufacture of food products and beverages (+1.1%) as well as in the manufacture of transport equipment (+0.5%, q-o-q). It was stable in the “other manufacturing”.

…and exceeded it’s last year’s level by 4.2%

The manufacturing output rose by 4.2% (y-o-y). It soared in the “other manufacturing” (+2.9%), in the electrical and electronic equipment and machine equipment (+7.7%) and in the manufacture of transport equipment (+5.4%).

Please note: all the data are adjusted for seasonal variations (SA) and the number of working days (WDA).

In July 2011, the manufacture of electrical and electronic equipment, machine equipment increased (+3.7%) …

The output strongly increased in the manufacture of computer, electronic and optical products (+7.5%). It also increased in the manufacture of electrical equipment (+3.0%) and in the manufacture of machinery and equipment n.e.c. (+1.2%).

… in the « other manufacturing » (+0.8%) …

The output increased in the manufacture of basic metals and fabricated metal products (+1.6%), in the “other manufacturing, repair and installation of machinery and equipment” (+1.9%), in the manufacture of rubber and plastics products (+0.8%) and in the manufacture of basic pharmaceutical products and pharmaceutical preparations (+0.4%). On the other hand, it decreased in the manufacture of chemicals and chemical products (-1.1%), the manufacture of textiles, wearing apparel, leather and related products (-0.6%) and in the manufacture wood and paper products; printing and reproduction of recorded media (-0.2%).

… as well as in the manufacture of transport equipment (+2.6%)

The output increased in the manufacture of other transport equipment (+3.9%) and in the manufacture of motor vehicles, trailers and semi-trailers (+1.5%).

Revisions : +0.11 point in June

In June 2011, the manufacturing output decreased (-1.8%)

The revisions are due to the revision of raw series in the manufacture of computer, electronic and optical products, in the manufacture of basic pharmaceutical products and pharmaceutical preparations and in the manufacture of chemicals and chemical products .
