In April 2011, the manufacturing output increased in volume (+0.2%). It decreased in March 2011 ( 1.1%). In the industry, output decreased (-0.3%), due to a drop in energy production.

In the last three months, the manufacturing output increased (+1.5%)…
In the last three months (quarter-on-quarter change), the output increased in the manufacturing sector (+1.5 %) and in the industry as a whole (+0.3%).
The output increased in the “other manufacturing” (+2.3%, q-o-q), in the manufacture of transport equipment (+0.6%) and in the electrical, electronic equipment and machine equipment (+0.5%).
…and exceeded it’s last year’s level by 5.3%
The manufacturing output rose by 5.3% (y-o-y). It soared in the “other manufacturing” (+5.7%), in the electrical and electronic equipment and machine equipment (+7.2%) and in the manufacture of transport equipment (+6.3%).

Nevertheless, output was barely stable in the « other manufacturing » (–0.1%)…
The output slightly decreased in the manufacture of rubber or plastics products, and other non-metallic mineral products (-1,2%), in the manufacture of chemicals and chemical products (-1.4%), in the manufacture of wood and paper products; printing and reproduction of recorded media (-0.7%) and in the manufacture of basic metals and fabricated metal products (-0.2%).
However, it increased in the “other manufacturing, repair and installation of machinery” (+1.8%), in the manufacture of basic pharmaceutical products and pharmaceutical preparations (+0.6%) and in the manufacture of textile (+0.8%).
… as well as in the manufacture of transport equipment (-0.1%)
The output decreased in the manufacture of motor vehicles, trailers and semi-trailers (-2.2%).
In the other hand, it increased in the manufacture of other transport equipment (+2.5%).
Revisions : -0.11 point in March
In March 2011, the manufacturing output decreased by 1.1%
The revisions are due to the new calculation of the SA-WDA.
