In March 2010, the economic climate improves in manufacturing industry Monthly business survey (goods-producing industries) - March 2010

According to the business leaders questioned in March, the industrial economic situation in France improved: The business climate indicator increases by four points, but remains below its long term average. The turning point indicator stays to the neutral area, indicating an economic uncertainty.

Manufacturing industry

Business leaders consider that their past activity stabilized near its long-term average. Stocks of finished goods decrease a little and are rated very light. Total order books stay low. Export order books are rated as low too, although they increased.

The personal production outlook for the next month improves markedly and comes back so to its long-term average. The general production outlook, which represents business leaders’ opinion on French industry as a whole, stays upper its long-term average from now on.
