The economic situation in manufacturing industry continues to improve Monthly business survey (goods-producing industries) - October 2009

According to the business leaders questioned in October, the industrial economic situation in France improves anew: the business climate indicator increases for the seventh month in a row. The turning point indicator stabilizes in the favorable area.

Manufacturing industry

There are more and more business leaders who consider that their past activity rised in manufacturing industry. Stocks of finished goods remain rated inferior to their long-term average from now on. Order books, notably the export ones, grow again, but are still considered as low.

The personal production outlook for the next months continues to increase. The general production outlook, which represents business leader’s opinion on French industry as a whole, improves anew..
