In June 2009, the seasonally adjusted summary consumer confidence indicator increased by three points*. It still remains low.

In June, households opinion about their expected and past personal financial position went up. Households feeling about their expected and past living standards slightly increased. Finally, the balance on the timeliness of making major purchases grew in June.

Besides, households were noticeably more pessimistic about future unemployment.

Finally, households have the feeling that past prices have increased slightly and that price rise should be low in the next months..
