According to the business leaders questioned in June, the industrial economic situation appears less deteriorated: the synthetic indicator increases for the third successive month. However, it stays clearly below its long-term average.

Business leaders consider that the drop of their past activity reduced slightly again in manufacturing industry. Stocks of finished products decrease and are rated inferior to their long-term average. Nevertheless, total and export order books are still considered as very low.

Looking at the personal production outlook, the fall-off in manufacturing industry would go on in the next months, but on a more moderate rhythm. The general production outlook, which represents business leaders’ opinion on French industry as a whole, continues to improve but remains negative.

Business leaders project to lower their selling prices nearly at the same pace as in May.
