The role of the users' committee is to take stock of the use of the BPE, to collect the needs of INSEE’s internal and external users (Internet users, public actors, etc.), to describe the expected developments and to prioritise them.

It meets once a year. Its members include representatives from INSEE, the National Federation of Urban Planning Agencies, and the National Agency for Territorial Cohesion.
