In July 2026, output in services rose slightly (+0.2%), following a slight increase in June (+0.3%).

Over a month, output increased slightly in services driven in particular by arts, entertainment and recreation, and by information and communication
In July 2026*, output increased sharply in arts, entertainment and recreation (+4.1% after +0.9%) driven mainly by performing arts. It also rebounded in information and communication (+1.2% after -1.0%), in administrative and support service activities (+0.7% after -0.2%) and in accommodation and food service activities (+0.7% after -0.5%).
Conversely, output fell back significantly over the month in professional, scientific and technical activities (‑1.0% after +1.0%) and in transportation and storage (‑1.0% after +3.0%). Finally, it fell again in real estate activities (‑1.0% after +3.0%).

Output in services was up by 0.8% year on year
Cumulative output from May to July 2026 was 0.8% higher than over the same period a year earlier. It increased in most sectors, particularly in professional, scientific and technical activities (+1.5%), in transportation and storage (+2.0%) and in real estate activities (+1.1%).
Conversely, output declined year on year in administrative and support service activities (‑1.1%).
Revisions
The monthly change in the services production index for June 2026 has been revised upwards by 0.1 percentage points compared to the previous release and now stands at +0.3%.
