Prices of mineral materials continued to go down(‑3.6% after ‑4.4%). Prices of non-ferrous metals decreased again (‑3.7% after ‑1.9%), as did those of precious metals (‑4.9% after ‑8.3%), and thoseof ferrous metals (‑1.7% after ‑5.9%). However, mineral material prices increased sharply year on year (+23.5%), driven by those of precious metal (+30.1%), of non-ferrous metal (+29.8%) and, to a lesser extent, by those of ferrous metals (+5.3%).
Prices of agro-industrial raw materials increased again over one month (+0.9% after +0.8%). Prices of sawn softwood slowed down (+3.5% after +7.1%), while those of tropical sawn wood accelerated (+1.2% after +0.2%). Prices of natural textile fibres bounced back (+0.9% after ‑2.2%). Those of paper pulp were virtually stable (+0.2% after ‑2.3%), as well as those of hides (+0.1% after +0.1%). Conversely, prices of rubber fell back (‑3.0% after +2.2%). Year on year, prices of agro-industrial raw materials increased a little (+3.0%), but with significant disparities among them: prices of rubber skyrocketed (+32.1%), as well as those of natural textile fibres (+29.7%). Those surges were mitigated by the virtual stability in sawn softwood (+0.1%), as well as the decreases in prices of paper pulp (‑1.7%) and of hides (‑1.6%), those latter three representing a larger part of the index.

The relevant time series and a user guide are available at the bottom of this page.
Crude oil: from 1986, the price of Brent gradually established as a representative reference price of European supplies.
Natural gas: TTF (futures contracts in the Netherlands) is considered as the benchmark market in Europe.
Uranium: the price monitored is that of triuranium octaoxide (U3O8) listed on the New York Mercantile Exchange.
Energy: prices of energy are monthly averages.
Indices of non-energy raw materials imported by France: the indices calculated by INSEE are monthly averages of raw material prices, weighted by their share in the French imports of raw materials (2010 = 100).
Strategic materials for the industry: the list of strategic materials monitored is a non-exhaustive selection of raw materials with which the French industry is particularly dependent, especially with regard to the energy transition. This selection is based on the work of the French Geological and Mining Research Bureau (BRGM) on critical and strategic materials.
