In February 2026, output in services was virtually stable (‑0.1%), after a decrease in January (‑0.6%).
From this publication onwards, the “Informations Rapides” releases on the index of services production are published around 50 days after the month under review, compared with 60 days previously.

Over a month, output in services declined in most major sectors
In February 2026*, output decreased again in professional, scientific and technical activities (‑0.5% after ‑0.2%), administrative and support service activities (‑0.6% after ‑1.3%) and accommodation and food service activities (‑0.9% after ‑0.8%). It fell back in information and communication (‑0.3% after +2.1%) and in real estate activities (‑0.7% after +1.0%).
Conversely, output rebounded in transportation and storage (+1.4% after ‑4.3%) and in arts, entertainment and recreation (+2.2% after ‑0.6%).

From December 2025 to February 2026, output in services increased by 1.0% compared with the same period one year earlier
The cumulative output from December 2025 to February 2026 was 1.0% higher than in the same period a year earlier. It increased in most sectors, particularly in information and communication (+2.4%), in professional, scientific and technical activities (+1.5%) and in transportation and storage (+1.2%).
Conversely, output declined year on year in administrative and support service activities (‑1.1%).
Revisions
The monthly change in the services production index for January 2026 has been left unchanged compared to the previous release, remaining at ‑0.6% (after rounding).
