Prices for second-hand dwellings rebounded (+0.5 % in Q4 2025, after -0.1% in Q3 2025), while prices for new dwellings fell for the second quarter in a row (-0.6%, after -0.4%).

House prices went up in Q4 2025

In Q4 2025, the house prices of metropolitan France went up: +0.4% (seasonally-adjusted data), after -0.1% in Q3 2025.

Prices for second-hand dwellings rebounded (+0.5 % in Q4 2025, after -0.1% in Q3 2025), while prices for new dwellings fell for the second quarter in a row (-0.6%, after -0.4%).

Year on year, house prices continued to rise

Year on year, house prices increased for the fourth quarter in a row: +1.0% in Q4 2025 after +0.7% in Q3 2025. This increase was mainly driven by second-hand dwellings, which accelerated (+1.1%, after +0.6%), while prices of new dwellings rose less sharply (+0.2%, after +1.0%).
