The balance of opinion on ordering intentions has slightly decreased
In February 2026, the balance of opinion related to ordering intentions has slightly decreased again and has moved away from its average. The balance related to the general business outlook is almost stable, above its average. Those related to both expected and past sales are almost stable and remain below their own.
The balance related to the current level of stocks has sharply decreased again and has returned to its long-term average. It has reached a level unobserved since May 2023.
The balance of opinion on expected selling prices has rebounded and has deviated from its average.
The balance related to expected workforce size has decreased again and has moved further away from its long-term average. Conversely, the one related to past workforce size has increased and has moved closer to its own.
Lastly, the balance on felt economic uncertainty has fallen back and has moved away from its long-term average.
