In November 2025, output in services decreased markedly (‑1.4%), after being stable in October.

Over a month, output declined in almost all sectors
In November 2025*, the fall in services output was mainly driven by the downturn in professional, scientific and technical activities (‑2.3% after +1.1%) and by the decrease in information and communication (‑1.7% after ‑0.2%). Output also declined in arts, entertainment and recreation (‑3.4% after ‑0.7%) and in transportation and storage (‑1.4% after ‑0.6%). It decreased more moderately in administrative and support service activities (‑0.5% after ‑0.4%) and in real estate activities (‑0.6% after ‑1.7%).Conversely, output rose again in accommodation and food service activities (+0.6% after +0.8%).

From September to November 2025, services output rose by 1.2% compared to the same period a year earlier
The cumulative output of the three months under review (September to November 2025) was 1.2% higher than that of the same period a year earlier. It increased in almost all sectors, in particular in transportation and storage (+2.7%), professional, scientific and technical activities (+1.1%), administrative and support service activities (+1.5%) and information and communication (+1.0%). Conversely, output decreased year on year in arts, entertainment and recreation (‑1.6%).
Revisions
The monthly change in the services production index for October 2025 has been revised downward by 0.3 percentage points compared to the previous release, and now stands at 0.0% (after rounding).
