Over a month, output was mainly driven up by professional, scientific and technical activities
In October 2025*, output accelerated in professional, scientific and technical activities (+1.7% after +0.4%) and bounced back in accommodation and food service activities (+0.8% after ‑0.4%). It slowed down in information and communication (+0.2% after +0.9%) and rose slightly in arts, entertainment and recreation (+0.2% after ‑1.0%). Conversely, output fell again in real estate activities (‑1.5% after ‑1.2%). It fell back in transportation and storage (‑0.5% after +1.3%) and in administrative and support service activities (‑0.2% after +0.3%).

From August to October 2025, services output rose by 2.2 compared to the same period a year earlier
The cumulative output of the three months under review (August to October 2025) was 2.2% higher than that of the same period a year earlier. It increased in all major sectors, in particular in professional, scientific and technical activities (+2.7%), transportation and storage (+3.1%), administrative and support service activities (+1.9%), and information and communication (+1.9%).
Revisions
The monthly change in the services production index for September 2025 has been revised upward by 0.1 percentage points compared to the previous release, and now stands at +0.3% (after rounding).
