In September 2025, services output rose slightly (+0.2%), after +0.1% in August.

Over a month, output was notably driven up by transportation and storage and information-communication
In September 2025*, output accelerated in transportation and storage (+1.3% after +0.3%) and bounced back in information and communication (+0.9% after -0.4%) as well as in professional, scientific and technical activities (+0.5% after -1.3%). It grew again in administrative and support service activities but more moderately than in August (+0.3% after +1.1%).
Conversely, output fell back in real estate activities (-1.7% after a strong rise in August: +4.2%) and in arts, entertainment and recreation (-1.5% after +1.0%). Finally, it fell again in accommodation and food service activities (-0.4% after -0.9%).

In the third quarter of 2025, services output was up by 2.5% compared to the same period a year earlier
Output in the third quarter of 2025 was 2.5% higher than in the third quarter of 2024. It increased across all major sectors, particularly in professional, scientific and technical activities (+3.0%), information-communication (+2.3%), transportation and storage (+2.6%), and administrative and support service activities (+1.9%).
Revisions
The monthly change in the services production index for August 2025 has been revised downward by 0.1 percentage points compared to the previous release, and now stands at +0.1% (after rounding).
