In October 2025, the prices of frequently purchased goods sold in hyper and supermarkets, and those sold in large and predominantly food stores, fell by 0.1% over a month, after ‑0.2% in September.
Excluding hyper and supermarkets, prices of frequently purchased goods were stable over a month, as in September.
Considering all kinds of stores, prices of frequently purchased goods were virtually stable over a month (‑0.1% as in September).
Year on year, the prices of frequently purchased goods sold in hyper and supermarkets slowed down slightly
Compared to those of the same month last year, the prices of frequently purchased goods sold in hyper and supermarkets slowed down slightly: +1.1%, after +1.2% in September. In large and predominantly food stores, prices increased at the same pace than in September: +1.2%.
Excluding hyper and supermarkets, the prices of frequently purchased goods accelerated again over a year: +1.9% after +1.7% in September.
Considering all types of stores, the prices of frequently purchased goods rose over a year at the same rate than in the previous month: +1.4%.

Month on month, the prices of food and beverages (excluding fresh produces) sold in hyper and supermarkets fell slightly in October 2025: ‑0.1%, as in September. Year on year, these prices slowed down slightly: +1.4% after +1.5 in September; they rose for the seventh consecutive month.
The prices of meat sold in hyper and supermarkets rebounded over one month: +0.4% after ‑0.1% in September. Year on year, they rose by 1.5% after +1.1% in September.
The prices of beverages sold in hyper and supermarkets decreased by 0.2% over one month after ‑0.3% in September. Year on year, they accelerated again slightly: +5.0% after +4.9% in September.
The prices of “other food products” fell by 0.3% over a month, after ‑0.1% in September. Year on year, they slowed down (+0.2% after +0.4% in September).
