Over a month, output was mainly driven by professional, scientific and technical activities
In June 2025*, output rebounded in professional, scientific and technical activities (+1.9% after ‑0.3%), in transportation and storage (+1.0% after ‑0.6%), and in arts, entertainment and recreation (+1.8% after ‑1.6%). Conversely, it fell back in information and communication (‑1.3% after +2.7%) and in administrative and support service activities (‑0.9% after +1.3%). It decreased in accommodation and food service activities (‑1.4% after ‑0.1%) and in real estate activities (‑0.3% after ‑0.1%).

In the second quarter of 2025, services output was up by 1.6% compared to the same period a year earlier
Services output in the second quarter of 2025 was 1.6% higher than in the same quarter of 2024. It rose across all major sectors, mainly driven by transportation and storage (+3.0%) and professional, scientific and technical activities (+1.2%). Output increased also in information and communication (+1.3%), real estate activities (+1.7%), accommodation and food services (+4.1%), and arts, entertainment and recreation (+1.4%). Administrative and support service activities grew slightly (+0.2%), despite a significant decrease in the employment activities sector (-6.0%).
Revisions
The monthly change in the services production index for May 2025 has been revised upward by 0.2 points compared to the previous release, and now stands at +0.4% (after rounding).
