In July 2025, the prices of frequently purchased goods sold in hyper and supermarkets
increased by 0.8% year on year Price Index in large and predominantly food stores - July 2025
In July 2025, the prices of frequently purchased goods sold in hyper and supermarkets, and those sold in large and predominantly food stores, rose slightly by 0,1% over a month, after being stable in June.
Excluding hyper and supermarkets, prices of frequently purchased goods were stable over a month, after +0.2% in June.
Considering all kinds of stores, prices of frequently purchased goods were stable over a month, as in June.
Year on year, the prices of frequently purchased goods sold in hyper and supermarkets accelerated
Compared to those of the same month last year, the prices of frequently purchased goods sold in hyper and supermarkets rose again: +0.8%, after +0.5% in June. In large and predominantly food stores, prices are also accelerating, +0.9% in July, after +0.6% the previous month.
Excluding hyper and supermarkets, the prices of frequently purchased goods accelerated over a year: +1.9% after +1.6% in June.
Considering all types of stores, the prices of frequently purchased goods increased year on year: +1.3% after +1.1% in June.

Year on year, food prices in hyper and supermarkets rose for the fourth consecutive month
Month on month, the prices of food and beverages (excluding fresh produces) sold in hyper and supermarkets rose slightly in July 2025, by +0.1%, after being stable in June. Year on year, these prices increased again : +1.2% after +0.9% in June.
The prices of meat sold in hyper and supermarkets rose again over one month: +0.1% after +0.2% in June. Year on year, they rose by 0.6%, following two months of stability.
The prices of beverages sold in hyper and supermarkets rose by 0.3% over one month after +0.1% in June. Year on year, their increase accelerated: +4.9% after +4.8% in June.
The prices of “other food products” were stable over one month, after a small decline of 0.1% in June. Year on year, they were stable too, after ‑0.3% in the previous month.
Year on year, the prices of cleaning and personal care products decreased again
Month on month, the prices of cleaning and personal care products sold in hyper and supermarkets decreased slightly by 0.2%, after being stable in June. Year on year, they fell again by 1.6%, after ‑1.7% in June.
