Monthly change: +0.4% in June; year-on-year change: +1.0%

In June 2025, the Consumer Price Index (CPI) increased by 0.4% over one month, after ‑0.1% in May. This rise in prices was mainly due to the rebound in the prices of services (+0.6% after ‑0.2%) driven by the rise in accommodation (+8.4% after +3.2%) and transport services (+3.7% after ‑5.2%). The prices of energy also rebounded (+0.6% after ‑1.4%), driven by those of petroleum products (+1.9% after ‑1.7%). Food prices were virtually stable (-0.1% after +0.5%), as those of manufactured goods (+0.1% as in May).

Seasonally adjusted, consumer prices also rose in June 2025 by 0.4%, after remaining stable in May.

Year on year, consumer prices went up by 1.0% in June 2025, after +0.7% in May. This rise in inflation was due to an acceleration in service prices (+2.4% after +2.1%), and by a less sustained fall in energy prices (‑6.7% after ‑8.0%). Food prices accelerated again very slightly (+1.4% after +1.3%), while prices of tobacco slowed slightly (+4.0% after +4.1%). Prices of manufactured products fell at the same rate as in May (‑0.2%).
