In June 2025, consumer prices increased by 0.9% year on year Consumer price index - provisional results - June 2025
These provisional results are only preliminary data. Accordingly, they should not be used for contractual revaluations. The indices published here are based on a limited set of price observations and from estimates of some rates of change for fares which are not yet available. The complete results will be published on 11 July 2025.
Over a year, the Consumer Price Index (CPI) should rise by 0.9% in June 2025, after +0.7% in May, according to the provisional estimate made at the end of the month. This increase in inflation should be explained by the acceleration in the prices of services, particularly those of accommodation, health and transport, by the decreasing fall in energy prices, and, to a lesser extent, by the very slight acceleration in food prices. Prices of manufactured products should decrease at the same pace as last month, while those of tobacco should slow down.
Over one month, consumer prices should increase by 0.3% in June 2025, after ‑0.1% in May. This rise in prices should be explained by an increase in services prices, in particular accommodation, transport and communication, and a rebound in energy prices, notably those of petroleum products. The prices of food, manufactured products and tobacco should be nearly stable over a month.
Year on year, the Harmonised Index of Consumer Prices should rise by 0.8% in June 2025, after +0.6% in May. Over one month, it should increase by 0.4%, after ‑0.2% in the previous month.
