In June 2025, the business climate has slightly increased again in retail trade and trade and repair of motor vehicles overall. At 99, the indicator that synthesizes it has gained one point (after rounding) and has moved closer to its long-term average (100). This rise is mainly due to the improvement of ordering intentions, as well in retail trade (excluding motor vehicles) than in trade and repair of motor vehicles.

The balance of opinion related to ordering intentions has increased again
In June 2025, the balance related to the ordering intentions has increased again and has moved above its long-term average. The balances on the past and expected sales have increased again and have moved closer to their own. However, the one on the general business outlook has fallen back a little and has reached its long-term average.
The balances of opinion associated with the expected and past changes in the workforce size have fallen back, sharply for the latter, and have moved away from their long-term average.
The balance associated with the current level of stocks has increased a little and has moved away from its average.
The balance of opinion on the expected selling prices is almost stable, slightly above its average.
Lastly, the balance on the felt economic uncertainty has rebounded and has moved closer to its own.

In June 2025, the balance associated with the ordering intentions has increased again in retail trade (excluding motor vehicles) and has moved away from its average. In trade and repair of motor vehicles, it has rebounded while remaining sharply below its own.
The balance associated with the past sales has fallen back in retail trade (excluding motor vehicles) where it has moved away from its average. In trade and repair of motor vehicles, the balances associated with the past and expected sales have strongly rebounded and have moved closer to their own.
The balance associated with the expected change in the workforce size has increased again a little in retail trade (excluding motor vehicles) and has moved closer to its average. In trade and repair of motor vehicles, it has sharply retreated and has moved just below its own.
