In Q1 2025, the house prices of metropolitan France rose: +1.0% (seasonally-adjusted data), after two quarters of near stability. Prices increased at a similar pace for second-hand dwellings (+1.0% compared with the previous quarter, after remaining stable in Q4 2024) and for new dwellings (+1.1%, after +0.4%).

In Q1, house prices rebounded

In Q1 2025, the house prices of metropolitan France rose: +1.0% (seasonally-adjusted data), after two quarters of near stability. Prices increased at a similar pace for second-hand dwellings (+1.0% compared with the previous quarter, after remaining stable in Q4 2024) and for new dwellings (+1.1%, after +0.4%).

Year on year, house prices returned to growth

Year on year, house prices increased after six consecutive quarters of decline : +0.6% in Q1 2025, after -1.9% in Q4 2024. New dwellings prices rose (+2.0%, after +0.5%), more than those of second-hand dwellings (+0.4%, after -2.2%).
