The national accounts in 2024 National accounts - 2020 Base
The annual national accounts give a complete and consistent description of the Nations' economy once a year. The main topics treated are resources and uses of goods and services, homogeneous branches activity, institutional sectors accounts, public finances, households income and purchasing power, financial and non financial assets and liabilities, input and output tables (SUT and SIOT) and table of integrated economic account (TIEA).
The item "Gross domestic product (GDP) and main economic aggregates" offers a focus on the most prominent indicators of the National accounts.
The national accounts will switch to the 2020 base from May 31, 2024. Documentation relating to this new base can be found in the "Documentation" tab, which will be updated as the new base is introduced. The document "Les comptes de la nation passent en base 2020" explains in detail the new sources and methods used in base 2020, as well as the main revisions.

Methodology of the annual accounts
The main revisions to the annual national accounts published on May 28, 2025, compared with the previous year's publication (May 31, 2024) and the latest publication of quarterly accounts (first estimate for the first quarter of 2025, published on April 30, 2025) are summarized in this note (in French).
Since May 31, 2024, INSEE has been publishing the national accounts in base 2020. All the changes brought about by this change of base are described in the file "Les comptes passent en base 2020 (in French)", which refers to methodological sheets providing additional information on specific points of national accounting.
