In November 2024, the prices of consumer products were almost stable over one month, whether sold in large-scale distribution (+0.1%, after being stable in October), in extended large-scale distribution (+0.1%, after being stable in October), in stores excluding hyper and supermarkets (‑0.1%, as in October) and in all kinds of stores (+0.1%, after ‑0.1% in October).

Year on year, the prices of frequently purchased goods sold in hyper and supermarkets decreased again

Compared to those of the same month last year, the prices of frequently purchased goods sold in hyper and supermarkets decreased again, at the same pace than in October (‑0.7%). In large and predominantly food stores, prices also decreased year on year, at the same rate as the previous month (‑0.6%).

Excluding hyper and supermarkets, the prices of frequently purchased goods slowed down again year on year: +0.2%, after +0.3% in October.

Considering all types of stores, the prices of frequently purchased goods decreased again year on year, at the same pace than in October (‑0.2%).

Year on year, food prices in hyper and supermarkets decreased again

Month on month, the prices of food and beverages (excluding fresh produces) sold in hyper and supermarkets were again almost stable in November 2024: +0.1%, after ‑0.1% in October. Year on year, these prices decreased again, at the same pace as in the previous month (‑0.3%).

The prices of meat sold in hyper and supermarkets decreased anew over one month: ‑0,3% after +0.1% in October. Year on year, they decreased again: ‑1.8%, after ‑1.4% in October.

The prices of beverages sold in hyper and supermarkets rebounded: +0.4% in November, after ‑0.2% in October. Year on year, they accelerated slightly: +0.5%, after +0.2% in October.

The prices of “other food products” were almost stable again over one month: +0.1%, after ‑0.1% in October. Year on year, they decreased again: ‑0.2%, as in October.

Year on year, the prices of cleaning and personal care products decreased again

Month on month, the prices of cleaning and personal care products sold in hyper and supermarkets were stable, after +0.2% in October. Year on year, they decreased again: ‑2.4%, after ‑2.5% in October.
