These provisional results are only preliminary data. Accordingly, they should not be used for contractual revaluations. The indices published here are based on a limited set of price observations and from estimates of some rates of change for fares which are not yet available. The complete results will be published on 15 December 2023.
Over a year, the Consumer Price Index (CPI) should rise by 3.4% in November 2023, after +4.0% in October, according to the provisional estimate made at the end of the month. This decrease in inflation should be due to the slowdown over a year in the prices of services, energy and, to a lesser extend, manufactured products and food.
Over one month, consumer prices should fall back slightly in November 2023 (‑0.2% after +0.1% in October). Prices of services should fall back, in particular those of transports, and those of energy should decrease again. Prices of manufactured products should be steady compared to the previous month. Those of food should increase over a month, due to fresh food, while the prices of other food products should remain steady.
Year on year, the Harmonised Index of Consumer Prices should rise by 3.8% in November 2023, after +4.5% in October. Over one month, it should fall back (‑0.3% after +0.2% in the previous month).
