In Q2 2023, the production costs in construction rose by 0.2% over a quarter, after +1.2% in the previous quarter. They slowed down in specialised construction works (+0.1% after +1.4%) and in building construction (+0.3% after +1.9%), due to the virtual stability of the cost of materials, lower energy and transport costs, and a slowdown in the cost of equipment. They accelerated slightly in civil engineering (+0.3% after +0.2%) due to the acceleration of labour costs.

Year on year, the production costs for construction slowed down (+2.7% in Q2 2023 after +6.1% in Q1 2023). They decelerated in building construction (+3.8% after +6.9% and +7.8%) as in specialized construction works (+3.9% after +6.6% and +7.6%) and fell back in civil engineering (-2.6% after +3.7% in Q1 2023 and +8.0% in Q4 2022).
