In Q3 2022, the house prices of metropolitan France continued to rise: +1.5% compared to the previous quarter data (provisional seasonally adjusted results), as in Q2 2022. The prices slowed down for new dwellings (+1.9% after +3.2%); they grew for second-hand dwellings at a pace close to that of the previous quarter (+1.4% after +1.3%).

Year on year, house prices decelerated slightly (+6.4% after +6.7% in the previous quarter). Prices of second-hand dwellings (+6.4%) grew at about the same rate as those of new dwellings (+6.5%), although they had been more dynamic since Q1 2020.

House prices increased once again in Q3 2022

In Q3 2022, the house prices of metropolitan France continued to rise: +1.5% compared to the previous quarter data (provisional seasonally adjusted results), as in Q2 2022. The prices slowed down for new dwellings (+1.9% after +3.2%); they grew for second-hand dwellings at a pace close to that of the previous quarter (+1.4% after +1.3%).

Year on year, house prices decelerated slightly (+6.4% after +6.7% in the previous quarter). Prices of second-hand dwellings (+6.4%) grew at about the same rate as those of new dwellings (+6.5%), although they had been more dynamic since Q1 2020.

Revisions

The quarterly variation in new dwellings prices in Q2 2022 and that in second-hand dwellings have not been revised (after rounding). They are confirmed respectively at +3.2% and +1.3%. All in all, the quarter-on-quarter variation of housing prices in Q2 2022 remained the same (+1.5%).
