In Q2 2022, house prices rose by 1.5% House price index - second quarter 2022
In Q2 2022, the house prices in metropolitan France continued to rise: +1.5% compared to the previous quarter with seasonnally adjusted (s.a.) data, after +1.4% in the Q1. The prices increased for new dwellings (+3.2% over a quarter after +0.1%). Conversely, they slowed down for second-hand dwellings (+1.3% after +1.7% in the previous quarter).
Year on year, the rate of price growth is slightly the same (+6.7% after +7.0% in the previous quarter). Second-hand dwellings prices grew faster (+6.8% y-o-y) than new dwellings prices (+6.3%), even though the difference tends to fade out.
House prices increased once again in Q2 2022

Revisions
Compared to the previous publication, Q1 2022 indices were revised to include observations that had not yet been recorded. The quarterly variation in new dwellings prices in Q1 2022 has been revised downwards (+0.1% instead of +0.7%), while the variation in second-hand dwellings was slightly revised upwards (+1.7% instead of +1.5%). All in all, housing prices quarter-on-quarter variation in Q1 2022 remained the same (+1.4%).
